Pam Yuen is the Director of Government Relations, Policy & Advocacy at Boys & Girls Clubs of America where she focuses on national policies relevant to BGCA's mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. She has over a decade of government relations and advocacy experience in civil rights, racial justice, and nonprofit equity policy space and regularly liaises with Capitol Hill and the Administration on a range of issues including federal appropriations, education, youth justice & safety, and childcare among other issues affecting youth today. Prior to joining BGCA, Pam served as the Senior Director of Government Relations at YWCA USA where she led the government relations & advocacy department, leading their work on gender-based violence, early childhood education, and racial justice issues impacting women and girls of color. Her tenure in Washington, DC began as a Scheduler and Staff Assistant on Capitol Hill.
Pam is a graduate of The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management where she earned a dual degree in strategic public relations and political management. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University. Pam currently serves on the Board of the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey. In her spare time, Pam enjoys running the trails of DC and is dedicated to advancing her baking endeavors as head chef of Mama WHY's Cookies and Cakes.
