Jane is currently the Senior Policy Advisor and former president of WorkingNation., a non-profit media entity dedicated to identifying the best practices in the talent development, retention, and job mobility areas. Prior to her time with WorkingNation, Jane managed Corporate Social Responsibility for the Apollo Education Group.

Jane served as Assistant Secretary of the Employment and Training Administration at the US Department of Labor from 2009-2013. Prior to her appointment she served as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and as a Senior Advisor to Governor Jon Corzine. For a decade she served on the US Senate Health, Education and Labor Committee Senior Advisor to the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy focused on education, workforce, research, and national service.

Jane began her career as a special education teacher in the Boston and Philadelphia Public Schools and later as the Director of Field Services at the National Center for Research in Education and Human Development at Temple University. Today she serves on several corporate and non-profit boards.
