About Frontline Justice
Every year, Americans face over 120 million unresolved civil (non-criminal) legal problems, with 92% of low-income households unable to access the legal help they need. Despite the number of lawyers in the U.S. having quadrupled since 1970, the access to justice crisis continues to grow.
At Frontline Justice, we’re leading a bold, nonpartisan movement to reimagine who can provide legal help. By advancing the role of community justice workers—trained advocates who help people navigate legal challenges—we’re working to democratize access to justice for those who need it most.
Our work focuses on five core strategies:
- Building Capacity & Ensuring High Standards
- Redesigning Policy & Regulations
- Increasing Resources
- Engaging Communities
